Membership Break-even addendum

Membership Break-even (https://membership.arcbyte.app) is a free tool. You enter this month's usage for the paid memberships you have, and it tells you whether each one was worth the fee.

This addendum applies in addition to the arcbyte Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and Refund Policy.

No account, no sign-in, and no card or bank connection.

Calculation inputs (memberships selected, usage counts) are not stored in a separate database. When you share a result, your inputs are encoded in the shared URL. The values in a shared link are read by our server only while it builds the results page and preview image, and are not stored.

Because the link contains your inputs (including any names you added), anyone you send it to will see the same result. A shared link simply encodes the data; it has no separate access control and is not guaranteed to stay private.

No account or contact details are required. Only anonymous usage counts that do not identify anyone are processed in Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine (kept for up to three months, then deleted). They contain the event name, record type, page type, membership type, verdict (keep / borderline / consider cancelling), language, sharing method and counts, and never IP addresses, identifiers, cookies or the amounts or usage numbers you enter.

Visits are also counted through the anonymous usage counts above (Analytics Engine). Cloudflare Web Analytics is not currently used; we will update this addendum before using it.

When a server error occurs, the status code, request method, path without query string and time, together with an error message with addresses, IP addresses and similar details removed, are kept by Cloudflare for up to 7 days. Query strings in request addresses and access information (IP addresses) are not stored.

The only cookie is NEXT_LOCALE, which remembers your language setting.

PostHog analytics are currently not collected on Membership Break-even, and Sentry is not used. Before enabling them, we will disclose the data collected, the bases for processing and international transfers, retention and deletion rules, and opt-out methods, and complete any required steps.

The "Notify me" button only measures interest: we count clicks and do not collect your email or any other contact details.

We use only Cloudflare from section 5 of the Privacy Policy (hosting, anonymous usage counts, server-error logs). Cloudflare's general guidance describes processing network metadata for its application services in the United States and Europe (https://www.cloudflare.com/trust-hub/gdpr/). That guidance does not let us establish the individual countries within Europe or the actual processing and storage countries for every function below. arcbyte does not use regional restriction settings. Whether each function stores data, and for how long, is shown below. Items that are not stored are used only while handling the request. The functions that apply to Membership Break-even are rows (1) request handling (not stored), (2) server-error logs (up to 7 days), (4) anonymous usage counts (up to three months) and (5) support-email forwarding in the Cloudflare table in section 5 of the Privacy Policy. Fonts are served by arcbyte. Support email follows the Resend, Cloudflare Workers and Kakao Mail route described there.

No payment provider is used.

Free. There is no payment.

If we ever add paid features, we will update this addendum at least 30 days in advance.

Fees and benefit values are estimates. We prioritize official information and label press reports, reference material or estimates where official confirmation is unavailable. Each item shows its reference date and source.

Where a company does not publish a value, we use a typical value marked as an estimate, which you can edit on the results screen.

Values may change after the reference date. Please check the company's latest information before you cancel anything.

Membership Break-even is not affiliated with Coupang, Naver, Baemin, Netflix or any other company listed.

There is no age requirement. No account or contact details are required. Access data is processed as described in the Privacy Policy. The tool is not designed for children under 14.
